Difference of Flebodia from Detralex

Phlebodia and Detralex are included in the group of preparations of venotonic action. They are used in various pathological conditions, accompanied by changes in the structure of the walls of blood vessels. Each of these tools has advantages and disadvantages that are taken into account when choosing. Plays a role and the presence of contraindications, as well as developing in parallel with the main pathological condition of the disease

Characteristics of drugs

If it is necessary to make a choice between medicines, a number of factors are taken into account: composition, principle of action, pharmacological properties, pharmacokinetic reactions that ensure a sufficient rate of providing the desired effect under the influence of the active component.

The drugs are used in various pathological conditions, accompanied by a change in the structure of the walls of blood vessels.

This is an angioprotector. Its main function is to correct the microcirculation of blood. It is realized due to the favorable effect on the walls of blood vessels. During therapy, an increase in the elasticity of the veins is noted, at the same time, the elongation of their walls decreases. As a result, swelling disappears. This effect is due to the fact that the drug has a therapeutic effect on the lymphatic system - improves drainage.

At the same time, the structure of capillaries is restored - the level of permeability of their walls is normalized. This factor also helps to reduce puffiness. If this agent is taken, the biological fluid is less excreted beyond the capillaries. This reduces the amount of tissue in the affected area.

The drug is characterized by other properties: affects the process of leukocyte adhesion to the inner surface of the veins, eliminates the symptoms of inflammation. The active substance has an indirect effect on norepinephrine, adrenaline, enhances the manifestation of their vasoconstrictor properties. Due to this, stagnation phenomena that provoke the development of edema disappear.

The composition of Phlebodia 600 as an active ingredient includes diosmin. This flavonoid provides a high level of drug effectiveness. Other substances in the composition that do not exhibit venotonic activity: talc, colloidal silicon dioxide, stearic acid, microcrystalline cellulose. You can buy the drug in pills. In 1 piece contains 600 mg of diosmin. The peak of activity of this substance is reached 5 hours after the start of the course of therapy. It is distinguished by the ability to accumulate in the walls of the hollow veins, the subcutaneous blood vessels of the legs.

Phlebodia should be used for varicose veins and other venous insufficiency.

Due to the decrease in capillary permeability, the intensity of the development of stagnation decreases. At the same time, the process of venous emptying is accelerated, the capacity of vessels is restored, the elasticity of their walls is normalized.

Detralex is effective in such diseases:

  • hemorrhoids;

Comparison of Phlebodia and Detralex

Both tools are in the same group, which means they exhibit similar properties. However, between drugs there are significant differences that are taken into account in the appointment.

The composition of Phlebodia and Detralex includes the same active ingredient - diosmin. It is a compound that performs venotonic, angioprotective function. The drugs are offered in pill form. Given the similar composition, the same level of efficiency is noted. This means that these drugs can be considered analogues of each other. However, when replacing one drug with another, dosage recalculation is required.

The scope of Flebodia and Detralex is also the same. These funds provoke the development of similar side effects. They are not used during breastfeeding, but these drugs are allowed to take with heart disease and diabetes.

Both tools are in the same group, which means they exhibit similar properties.

What is the difference

The composition of Detralex includes another active ingredient - hesperidin, which enhances the effect of diosmin. Phlebodia is a single component agent, its only active compound is diosmin. The concentration of the main components is different. Thus, the diosmin in the composition of Phlebodia is contained in the amount of 600 mg (per 1 tablet). This substance is part of Detralex in slightly smaller quantities (450 mg).

The probability of developing angioedema with Detralex therapy is higher. This drug can be used to treat patients under the age of 18. There are no restrictions on the use of detralex during pregnancy.

Different drugs and treatment regimen. So, Flebodia contains a greater amount of diosmin. To compensate for the deficiency of this substance, Detralex (if necessary, such a replacement) is prescribed in a double dosage - 2 tablets per day. Partly due to this feature increases the risk of developing allergies.

The scheme of treatment of hemorrhoids during exacerbations is more complicated. So, Detralex is used for 6 tablets. This amount is sufficient for the first 4 days after the onset of symptoms. Then the dose of the drug is reduced: take 4 pieces. over the next 3 days.

What's cheaper

Phlebodia enters a higher price category. Thus, the average price of this drug is 1750 rubles. The cost of Detralex - 1375 rubles.

Which is better - Flebodia or Detralex?

In case of various pathological conditions, any drug from those under consideration can be effective. So, the composition of Phlebodia includes only 1 component, but it is contained in a higher dosage than the same substance in the composition of Detralex. This means that both drugs are equal in effectiveness, characterized by a similar level of aggressiveness of the effects on the body. However, Detralex has a number of advantages (less restrictions on use, lower price).

During pregnancy

Phlebodia is not prescribed when carrying a child, because there is not enough information about its effects on the blood vessels and the human body. Detralex, on the contrary, can be used without restrictions. But in both cases, care must be taken. If necessary, one drug can act as a substitute for another.

Patient Reviews

Vera, 35 years old, the city of Stary Oskol

For me, Phlebodia is a more appropriate remedy. Acts quickly, efficiently. The cost is a bit high, but I use it infrequently (with exacerbation of hemorrhoids), so I didn’t hit the purchase price of this item.

Elena, 45 years old, Barnaul

Detralex doctor appointed about six months ago. I found venous insufficiency. With such a diagnosis, constant vascular support is required. So, when choosing, the key factor was not only high efficiency, but also price.

Both drugs are equal in effectiveness, characterized by a similar level of aggressiveness effects on the body.

Doctors reviews about Flebodia and Detralek

Valiev EF, surgeon, 38 years old, Nizhny Novgorod

The drug Flebodia is quite effective, but only as part of complex therapy. I recommend it more often for prophylaxis. I also noticed that in case of chronic diseases of the veins there is also an improvement in the patient’s condition.

Atavov D. R., proctologist, 32 years, Omsk

I assign Detraleks often. It shows high efficacy, but as a monotherapy this remedy provides the desired result only with mild symptoms. It is better to use Detralex against the background of other means that are used for maintenance therapy in such pathological conditions as venous insufficiency or hemorrhoids.
